Vidya Medical Centre provides general health care to the poorer strata of society with a focus on women, children, and the elderly. There are two general practitioners supported by diagnostic facilities like x-ray and laboratory, to help the people living in village Basai and its surrounding villages and colonies. There is regular OPD for eye care, over 1,200 elderly patients have had cataract surgeries in collaboration with lions club (delhi capital) and lions eye hospital. A dental unit provides dental care which was a felt need in the area and is very popular. The services of an orthopedic surgeon are also available supported by a complete physiotherapy unit. Health camps are held periodically for general health and in specialties, like cardiology, respiratory diseases, diabetes, pediatrics, orthopedic, eye care, and dental ailments. Hemoglobin tests are conducted free for women and girls. Medical Examination are conducted for both adolescent boys and girls.

Health awareness drives are conducted in the community regularly regarding preventive health care, seasonal and chronic diseases, nutrition, and a balanced diet, immunization and family planning, hygiene, and sanitation. Pamphlets are distributed in the community giving information about malaria, dengue and anemia.

In July 2022, The Medical Centre has been upgraded and modernised by acquiring new equipments like 300 Ma Digital, X’ ray Machine, Dental Chair and Accessories. Eye equipment – Autorefractor, Tonometre, Optical Chair Unit. Lab Equipment – Biochemistry Autoanalyser and Haematology Autoanalyser. The Laboratory is headed by a Pathologist and the X’ray unit is headed by a Radiologist.

The Vidya Medical Centre is housed in the Trust’s own building in a one acre complex. The building was constructed from Trust’s own resources. This is also the headquarters for operation of some other activities.
