Vidya Roshan
Charitable Trust

The Trust was established in 1992. The name of the Trust is derived from the first names of Late Smt Vidya Rani Kohli, the Patron and Late Shri Roshan Lal Kohli who was a Trustee. Both during their lifetimes wanted the Trust to work for improving the life of the poor and underprivileged.

Late Smt Vidya Rani Kohli had expressed a desire that the Trust should set up a medical centre. After her demise the Trustees contructed a VIDYA MEDICAL CENTRE in April 1996 in village Basai, which was inaugurated by Swami Chidanandaji, President Divine Life Socitey.

Late Shri Roshan Lal Kohli had the satisfaction of seeing the Medical Centre up and running. After his demise the Trustees decided to expand and diversify the activities to benefit a larger section of marginalised population with a focus on women and girl child.
